The goal of RCD is to present research of global significance spanning the entire spectrum of resilience

Aims and scope

Resilient Construction and Design (RCD) is committed to disseminating cutting-edge research in the field of engineering with a focus on resiliency. We invite the submission of papers to RCD that exhibit high-quality research, which will not only be widely read by academics and practitioners but also generate tangible impacts in the industry, leading to both increased citation rates and practical applications. The RCD journal welcomes papers that explore various aspects of structural engineering and resiliency, including but not limited to:

  1. Mechanics, Performance-based design, and Innovation
  2. construction material handling, equipment, production planning, specifications, scheduling, estimating, cost control, quality control, labor productivity, inspection, contract administration, construction management, computer applications, and environmental concerns.
  3. Sustainable construction, Health monitoring, Inspection and diagnosis, experimental investigations.
  4. Seismic code requirements, development, and evaluation.
  5. Seismic risk assessment methods for earthquake-resistant design and retrofit of structures.
  6. Seismic protective systems, including seismic isolation systems, damping systems, new structural systems, adaptive and active systems (Passive, Active and Hybrid Structural control).
  7. Quantification of resiliency, i.e., enhanced design emphasizing damage minimization, repairability, functional recovery and sustainability etc.

It is mandatory for all authors to provide institutional or professional email addresses rather than generic ones like Gmail, Hotmail, or 123.com. By submitting a manuscript to the journal for publication, authors acknowledge their commitment to actively participate in the peer review process, when requested, and contribute their expertise to reviewing other manuscripts. Additionally, authors are kindly requested to suggest independent referees who hold institutional email addresses. It is important to note that the suggested referees should not be affiliated with the authors' own institution.
